GREENSBORO, N.C. — Vanessa Panousis scored 20 points, setting a school record for 3-pointers in the process, and made four free throws in the final 36 seconds and 15th-seeded Virginia Tech pulled off another upset in the ACC tournament with a 51-45 win over seventh-seeded Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Virginia Tech, which led 19-17 at the half when Taijah Campbell scored just before the buzzer.

Pittsburgh (19-11) tied the game at 31, fell back again and closed within 47-45 on a Stash Carey free throw with 39 seconds to play. But turnovers on each possession late doomed the Panthers.
