State Police, Butler

4:35 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured when an unidentified pickup truck sideswiped a school bus in Marion Township. The driver of the truck did not stop.

The pickup is described as white with green printed lettering on the sides and back of the vehicle, which was equipped with tool boxes on both sides of the bed.

The accident happened as the truck was traveling south on Allison Road just north of Roenigk Road and the bus, driven by Mary L. Coradi, 71, of Emlenton, Venango County, which had one child aboard, was northbound.

Coradi slowed down and drove onto the snow bank on the right berm because the amount of snow had narrowed the width of the road. As the pickup passed the bus, its driver’s side view mirror scraped the side of the bus.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run accident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
