The Butler Eagle’s Feb. 23 edition reported that state police from the Mercer barracks detained three Ecuadorean men they found to be illegal aliens. The U.S. Immigration Service was contacted but background checks determined they were no threat to the United States.

Why weren’t these men deported? Why are we funding a federal agency that doesn’t do its job?

Try the same stunt in Ecuador and you might just spend a long time in one of that country’s finest prisons.
