Donna S. Gates
Donna S. Gates, 76, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born on June 19, 1938, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Elizabeth Texter Flick Sr.
She was a homemaker.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going on cruises and playing bingo.
She was a graduate of the Butler High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Gates, to whom she was married for 57 years; her son, Jeff L. Gates of Butler; her daughter, Shellie Matteoni of Butler; her brother, James A. Flick Jr. and his wife, Wealtha, of Baltimore, Md.; and her sister, Virginia Flick of Butler. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Matthew Matteoni, Micole Matteoni, Elizabeth Matteoni, Levi Gates and Breanne Gates.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Flick.
