Elizabeth J. 'Bette' Miller

Elizabeth J. “Bette” Miller, 80, of Mars passed away Tuesday evening at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born on April 16, 1934, in Pittsburgh.

Bette had been a school bus driver for 19 years at the Bauman Bus Co. for the Pine-Richland School District.

She was a member of the St. Kilian Church in Mars and the Cowansville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Bette loved to travel with Sam, her husband of 58 years, whether it was to the casinos in Pittsburgh or in the motor home to Florida. They traveled extensively and even saw Pope John Paul II. They enjoyed boating and motorcycling on their trike.

Surviving are her husband, Willard E. “Sam” Miller, who she married on Sept. 22, 1956; her daughters, Bridget K. Miller of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Beth G. Miller (Keith) of San Mateo, Calif.; her son, Barry J. Miller (Tracy) of Mars; her sister, Marylou Fulton of Morrow, Ga.; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Theodore and Robert Fulton.
