Grove City woman wins $2M lottery prize

GROVE CITY — A Grove City area woman is a bit richer these days.

Mary Fowler won the $2-million jackpot from the Feb. 12 Match 6 Lotto drawing from the Pennsylvania Lottery. She bought her ticket at the Rite Aid store at 221 Grove City Road in Slippery Rock.

She claimed her ticket last week. Through the lottery, Fowler declined to comment and requested that she not be contacted by the media.

Her winning numbers were 07-16-27-28-33-37.

She will receive $1.5 million, which is the jackpot minus federal tax holdings. Lottery wins are not subject to state or local taxes.

Lottery spokeswoman Lauren Bottaro said Fowler either will get a check through certified mail or she can arrange to pick her winnings up at a lottery office.

The Rite Aid store where she bought the ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Match 6 Lotto drawings are held on Monday and Thursday evenings.
