Franklin F. Schleiter Jr.

Franklin F. Schleiter Jr., 81, of Butler passed away early Monday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Oct. 15, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Franklin F. Schleiter and Josephine Solarczyk Schleiter.

He was a retired manager from Kmart in Butler.

He was an avid golf and sports fan and had spent some of his retirement years in Myrtle Beach pursuing his passion for golf. He enjoyed the company of his loving pets.

Surviving are his three daughters, Cindy Dufford of West Sunbury, Linda Fowler of Hilliards and Sherri Schleiter of Fairbanks, Alaska; his five grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Wayne Schleiter of Baden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marzone D. “Mar” Schleiter, who died on Dec. 11, 2011, and his brother, Clayton Schleiter.

Schleiter— A memorial service for Franklin F. Schleiter Jr., who passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
