HARRISBURG — Jackson Township will receive $15,000 to retime three traffic signals along Route 68.

They are at Evans City Road and Lindsay Road in the township and in Evans City at Jackson Street and Washington Street.

“These improvements not only benefit the residents of those communities, but improve safety and traffic flow for everyone who drives those roadways.” said state Sen. Elder Vogel, R-47th, who announced the state grant today.

Jackson is among 38 municipalities sharing $1.8 million in this round of Green Light-Go funding, which provides grants to municipalities for installing light-emitting diode technology, retiming lights, and upgrading traffic signals.
