5:22 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Philip S. Pomykata, 73, of Butler collided with a car driven by Georgette R. Fleeger, 43, of Butler at the intersection of West New Castle Street and Hansen Avenue.Police said Pomykata did not yield to oncoming traffic when he attempted to turn onto Hansen Avenue from West New Castle Street and pulled in front of Fleeger's car.Pomykata was cited with a turning violation.

8:23 p.m. Nov. 28 — Vincent Greco, 34, of New Castle was charged with DUI and careless driving following a traffic stop on Route 422.9:30 p.m. Sept. 28 — Dennis Wyant, 60, of Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident at a Butler Road home. Police said Wyant allegedly hit a 17-year-old boy, who was not identified.

7:16 p.m. Friday — Timothy F. Nebel, 56, of Butler was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Route 422, just east of the Jefferson Street exit in Summit Township. Police said a passer-by reported a reckless driver in the area, which led to the arrest.12:35 a.m. Friday — Icy conditions caused an accident involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.A tractor-trailer driven by Robbie J. Hranicky, 52, of Sligo first slid off the road. Moments later a rig driven by William C. Withers Jr., 40, of McKees Rocks slid into Hranicky's trailer. The accident punctured the gas tank of Withers' rig, disabling it.Neither driver was injured nor cited for a traffic violation.4:40 p.m. Thursday — An 18-year-old man was not injured after he was hit by a vehicle on Clearview Circle in front of the Ponderosa Restaurant at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.Police said Nathan Emigh of Butler was walking from the restaurant to his car when he was struck by what was described as a white Chevrolet SUV.The unknown driver of the vehicle yelled at Emigh before leaving. The driver was described as a white man in his late 40s or early 50s. He had a full gray beard and mustache.Anyone with information on the driver is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.
