Butler bowlers roll to 7-0 wins

Both Butler High School bowling teams cruised to a 7-0 sweep of Karns City on Wednesday.

The Golden Tornado girls received a 691 series and high game of 256 from Megan Paul. Baylee Verner contributed a 624-236, Nicole Nebel had a single game of 214 and MiKayla White a 209. Butler (3-0) won in total pins 2,854-1,594.

Courtney Sutton had a 398 series for Karns City (1-2).

Dan Bellis paced Butler’s boys with a 567 series and high game of 208 as the Golden Tornado won in total pins 2,666-2,369.

Matt Wetzel added a 555 series for Butler (2-1), while Grant Curdo led Karns City (1-2) with a 613 series and single game of 221.

Both teams are off until Jan. 7 when Butler faces Knoch and Karns City takes on Seneca Valley.
