12:47 a.m. Wednesday — Bryan R. Leonard, 30, of Butler allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 29-year-old Kassandra Walker of Butler, during a domestic dispute at a home on the 200 block of East Penn Street.Leonard is accused of punching Walker in the face. She suffered a bloody and swollen lip in the altercation. Leonard is charged with simple assault.Wednesday — Police charged Rachel C. Baylock, 37, of Oakland Township with passing 10 forged prescriptions at pharmacies in the city and Butler Township in a failed attempt to obtain medication dating back to August.Baylock is charged with 10 felony counts of attempted acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud and 10 misdemeanor counts of forgery.

Dec. 9 — James T. Fox, 22, of Mars is charged with showing up allegedly intoxicated at his parents' house on Juniper Court last week, even after being police previously advised him he was not permitted there.Police said they twice warned the defendant he was not welcome at the home of Gary and Carolyn Fox. But he defied those prior warnings, according to court documents, and started pounding on the back door about 5:20 p.m. Dec. 1.Police said when they tried to place Fox in the back of the patrol car, he struggled with officers.He is charged with resisting arrest, trespass, criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

Wednesday — David E. Bigler, 49, of Butler was charged with identity theft after he allegedly used a Giant Eagle Advantage Card, without the owner's knowledge, to fill up his tank with gasoline Oct. 16.The victim inadvertently left the card behind after using the self checkout at Moraine Pointe Plaza Giant Eagle. Police suspect Bigler found the card and pocketed it.Police said he used the card a few hours later to redeem its fuel perks at the Get-Go store on Route 8. Bigler fraudulently obtained 30 gallons of gas, valued at $97.80, for free, according to a police report.Wednesday — Police cited two Butler men in connection with a quarrel over a parking spot at the Butler Commons shopping plaza that got out of hand last week.During the confrontation outside the Valley Dairy, a police report said, 64-year-old John A. Clark removed a steak knife and showed it to 59-year-old Bradley B. Angert, who was “verbally attacking” Clark.Both men face summary charges of disorderly conduct.

12:06 p.m. Sunday — Andrew D. Vanhoffen, 32, was arrested after a disturbance at his family's home in the 700 block of Spring Street.Vanhoffen allegedly attacked his mother after she suggested he seek anger management counseling stemming from an incident earlier that day.He is accused of pushing Dolores Vanhoffen, who fell back on a chair and then the kitchen floor, hitting her head. Next, he pushed both of his sisters before throwing a bottle of oil across the kitchen, knocking over several items and repeatedly striking a cabinet until it cracked.Vanhoffen left the home with his mother's bank debit card, which he used to make an unauthorized $300 transaction, police said.Police later arrested the defendant, who was arraigned on three counts each of simple assault and harassment, two counts of criminal mischief, and charges of theft, receiving stolen property and identity theft. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail following arraignment.

Wednesday — Police filed misdemeanor charges against Courtney D. Woods, 23, of Grove City after they found marijuana at the home Aug. 19. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Tuesday — A Grove City woman reported that someone overnight stole a Sirius XM radio from her vehicle in the 400 block of Woodland Avenue.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole coins from the dashboard of a car in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue The theft happened between Dec. 5 and Tuesday.Tuesday — Police reported they are investigating last month's theft of a bicycle. The bike was taken Nov. 5 from a bike rack at Grove City College.

Wednesday — A vandal used a vehicle to damage a hay field and winter wheat field at a farm at Frazier and O'Hara roads in Jefferson Township. Police said they continue to investigate the case of agricultural vandalism that happened Tuesday or Wednesday.Tuesday — An unspecified amount of money was taken from a vehicle at a home on Spring Run Road in Center Township. The theft happened between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.11:30 p.m. Dec. 3 — A vandal fired a yellow paint ball at a pickup truck on Route 422 near Old Route 422 in Franklin Township. The paint ball hit the pickup but did not damage the vehicle.

7:09 p.m. Dec. 10 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Cynthia L. Gohn, 43, of Vandergrift and a car driven by Adam Z. Olsen, 22, of Butler collided on Route 66 in Manor Township.Gohn, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with moderate injuries. Police cited her for careless driving and a seat belt violation.

3:02 p.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on Route 422 just east of Old State Road Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The crash happened when a car struck the back of a sport utility vehicle driven by Joshua D. Kosick, 21, of Cranberry Township.The other driver, Briana M. Watkins, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
