COLUMBUS, Ohio — The sister of an Ohio State football player says his family has reported him missing after he left his apartment, then uncharacteristically missed two practices and didn’t check in.

She tells The Columbus Dispatch 22-year-old Kosta Karageorge was last seen at his apartment around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Sophia Karageorge says her brother apparently was upset, and roommates said he went for a walk, dressed in all black.

Police were looking for the 6-foot-5 senior defensive tackle but weren’t available for comment Thursday.

His sister says he didn’t take his wallet or motorcycle. She says he has a history of sports-related concussions, including one a month ago, and his family was concerned that he might have become disoriented.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — When Leonard Fournette barreled over a Texas A&M defender and scored in the second quarter, the Aggies had to know it was going to be a long night.But that was only the start of a big game for the LSU freshman.Fournette ran for a career-high 146 yards and a touchdown, and Jalen Collins had a late interception to seal LSU’s 23-17 win Thursday night.Fournette’s highlight-reel play gave the Tigers their first points since an overtime loss to Alabama on Nov. 8. WASHINGTON — The Redskins plan to start quarterback Colt McCoy over Robert Griffin III on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.Washington coach Jay Gruden told Colts reporters on a conference call that Griffin “just needs a little more time” to master the team's offensive scheme.Griffin's benching is the latest development in a stunning slide for the 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Redskins are 0-3 since Griffin returned from an ankle injury and have scored only one touchdown in each of the last two games.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Relief pitcher Ernesto Frieri and the Tampa Bay Rays agreed to an $800,000, one-year contract.The 29-year-old right-hander was 1-4 with a 7.34 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 41 2-3 innings over 48 games this year for the Los Angeles Angels and Pittsburgh.To clear a roster spot, the Rays designated infielder Sean Rodriguez for assignment. Tampa Bay also released catcher Jose Molina.
