Dorothy F. 'Dot' Slagle

Dorothy F. “Dot” Slagle, 86, of Parker passed away at noon Thursday at Grove Manor Personal Care Center in Grove City following a period of declining health.

Born on April 20, 1928, in Toby Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Leila Fowler McCall.

She was married on July 19, 1948, in Rimersburg to Gerald D. “Sam” Slagle, who passed away on Feb. 2, 2014.

Dot was a longtime and active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Parker and a member of the Women's Circle of the church.

She and Sam enjoyed many Masonic camping adventures, especially with the National Camping Travellers.

An accomplished seamstress, she also enjoyed family, friends, arts and crafts.

Surviving are her daughter and her husband, Kathleen “Kathy” and Terry Kriebel of Parker; her four grandchildren, Darrin (Norma) Kriebel of Punxsutawney, Brandon (Cara) Kriebel of Butler, Jessie (Regina) Aton and Jason Aton, all of North Carolina; her son-in-law, Maurice Wm. Aton of North Carolina; her two sisters, Mary Kriebel of Mercer and Helen Schubert of Renfrew; her brother, Charles “Chuck” McCall of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Roxanne Aton Slagle, and her three siblings, Eleanor McCall Slagle and Lawson and James McCall.

Slagle — The friends of Dorothy F. “Dot” Slagle, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, may call from 4 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. Saturday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
