Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Andreas Fatschel earned All-University Athletic Association honors Thursday.

Fatschel, a Seneca Valley graduate who started 16 games for the Tartans' men's soccer team this season, was named honorable mention. Fatschel received the nod for his play on the field and work in the classroom.

CRANBERRY TWP — The third annual Cranberry Turkey Chase will run Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27, rain or shine, at Graham Park.The event is limited to 1,000 runners. Early registration is encouraged as race organizers expect a sellout.A fundraiser for the Seneca Valley cross country program, this year's Turkey Chase allows athletes from the Miracle League to register for the 5K or 1-mile fun run at no charge.Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The 5K begins at 9 a.m.T-shirts are guaranteed for all runners who register early.Log on to www.senecavalleycc.com for information or to register.

CRANBERRY TWP —The Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA's Third Annual Teen Dodgeball Tournament will take place Dec. 13.The event is open to all boys and girls in grades 7-12.Sign up a team of four ($42) or as an individual ($16).
