Jean Marie Herold, 77, formerly of Connoquenessing, passed away Sunday afternoon at the LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born on Dec. 26, 1936, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Josephine Marie Grosick Adams.

Jean had been a secretary and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the 3-T's and the knitting circle.

Surviving are her son, Lee Adam Herold and his wife, Maureen, of Allison Park, and her grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan and Aidan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard K. Herold, whom she married on June 11, 1966, and who died on Dec. 12, 2012, and by her brother.
