Butler Police3:43 p.m. Tuesday — Carol A. Bauman, 36, of Butler reported someone scratched the side of her Jeep while it was parked along West Penn Street. The damage was estimated at $1,600.7:05 p.m. Monday — Jennifer R. Hammonds, 33, of Butler was cited for a red light violation following a two-car accident on Route 8, south of the General Richard Butler Bridge.Police said Hammonds drove through a red light and struck a vehicle driven by William Robinson, 54, of West Sunbury. Both cars were towed from the scene.

Monday — David Perri, 54, of Butler was charged with DUI after a blood analysis showed positive for several controlled substances. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood draw after a multi-vehicle accident on Route 422 on Oct. 10.4:40 a.m. Tuesday — A Ford E-350 van was broken into while parked at Shockey's Mini Storage. The owner of the vehicle is a contractor who sells Little Debbie snack cakes. About 50 cases of various snacks were removed from the vehicle. Police suspect a larger-type vehicle possibly was involved, such as a truck due to the amount taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact township police.5:12 p.m. Monday — Police charged Alexa Noelle DeMatteis, 19, of Slippery Rock with a misdemeanor count of retail theft after she allegedly concealed $159 worth of clothing at the Kohl's in Butler Crossing. A summary retail theft citation was issued to Taylor Michel Ruby, 20, of Boyers after she allegedly concealed a $40 sweater.4:43 p.m. Monday — Scott Armstrong, 51, of Butler was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and huffing after township police were called to his residence. Police claim the suspect came home and started huffing air duster, and his neighbor confronted him about the odor from the duster cans. Armstrong allegedly pointed a handgun at the neighbor and threatened to kill him. He allegedly followed the neighbor out into the yard while still pointing the gun at him.4:50 a.m. Tuesday — Township police are investigating a burglary at the Agway, 500 Evans City Road. Officers responded to the business early Tuesday morning to investigate an alarm and found a side window pried open and the office ransacked. Anyone with information on a suspicious vehicle or person in the area should contact police.

12:55 p.m. Tuesday — A 17-year-old boy from Harrisburg at Summit Academy in Summit Township was charged with two counts of aggravated assault after allegedly striking an academy employee in the face with a plate of food and punching the man three times.Police said the 54-year-old man suffered a cut, a chipped tooth, and broken glasses. The teen was transported to a detention facility in Dauphin County.

12:50 a.m. Monday — A tractor-trailer driven by Michael R. Casey, 62, of Nokomis, Ill., struck a deer along Interstate 80 near mile marker 25 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. The rig had to be towed.4:21 p.m. July 21 — Justin J. Hopkins, 28, of Grove City was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities after he attempted to buy a firearm at Walmart in Pine Township, Mercer County.Police said the sale was denied during the background check process. Police said Hopkins allegedly lied on the forms completed to purchase the gun.

Grove City Police10:01 p.m. Monday — Police responded to an alarm activation from Farmers National Bank at 1319 W. Main St. and arrested a 17-year-old white male from Stockton, Calif., after he allegedly forcefully entered the premises. The pending charges are burglary, escape and criminal mischief.Sunday — Police arrested Michael Matthew Green, 24, of Grove City at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Woodland Avenue and charged him with loitering, prowling at night, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication after receiving a report of prowling on Eastover Street.Between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6:20 a.m. Friday — Someone entered a residence in the 400 block of McConnell Street and stole an iPad and a purse containing a cell phone, jewelry and money. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.1:49 a.m. Friday — Police cited Colby Cameron Wert, 21, of Kennerdell with violating park hours and traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way road after he was observed driving a vehicle into Memorial Park on West Main Street through the exit-only road.Oct. 14 — Police received a report of theft from Ace Hardware. Police said the alleged theft had been going on for several months. An employee had allegedly been making false returns and taking the cash. Brandon Upperman, 23, of Grove City was charged with 11 counts of theft by deception at District Judge Neil McEwen's office.
