Ruth B. Dickson, 81, of Butler went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday at Under Our Wing YWCA, Butler.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1933, in Forest County, the daughter of the late Albert and Eunice McGarvey Butler.

Ruth was a former bookkeeper, and she retired from Butler Memorial Hospital as a nurse's assistant.

She attended the Community Alliance Church.

Surviving are her two daughters, Darlene (John) Gerberich of Butler and Susan (Eugene) Pritts of Roanoke, Va.; her three sons, David (Anna) Dickson of Butler, Richard M. (Marlene) Dickson of Butler and Randall (Susan) Dickson of Butler; her 15 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Gladys (James) Rea of Butler; her brother, Ray H. (Vikki) Butler of Tumwater, Wash.; her brother-in-law, Art Mathers of Prospect; her sister-in-law, Anita Bowser of Chicora; and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Clair Dreher of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Dickson, who passed away on Aug. 17, 2013; her sister, Elaine Mathers; her former husband, Robert McHattie; and her grandson, Derek Dickson.

Dickson— The friends of Ruth B. Dickson, who passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at noon Friday at the funeral home.
