2:37 p.m. Saturday — Clayton C. Fredley, 24, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting four Sony PlayStation 3 controllers at the Kmart in Pullman Square plaza. The merchandise is valued at $220. Fredley is charged with retail theft.10:51 a.m. Friday — A van driven by Priscilla E. Folks, 63, of Butler struck a parking meter and a sport utility vehicle that was parked on South Washington Street between West Birch and West Cunningham streets. Folks drove away but police found her later. She admitted to the wreck, telling police she was trying to park when she stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. Folks fled, according to a police report, “because she was upset.”Folks faces tickets for hit-and-run and careless driving.Friday — A burglar stole a stereo tools and other items from a detached garage in the back of a man's home in the 500 block of State Street. The burglary happened within the past week. The stolen property is valued at $525.

4:40 a.m. Sunday — Alyssa R. Blakley, 21, of Butler was seriously hurt when she lost control of her car, crossed into the opposing lane, traveled into the grass and hit a tree along Route 308 just north of Mont Road in Center Township. Blakley, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by medical helicopter to an undisclosed Pittsburgh hospital.The police report said she suffered a major injury. Her condition was not known this morning.7:30 p.m. Friday — Michael Lynn, 36, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he struck another vehicle and fled the crash at Routes 58 and 8 in Harrisville.7:24 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Lauren Y. Cowan, 25, and a car driven by Christopher L. Roberts, 47, both of Butler, collided at Route 356 and Stutz Road in Summit Township. The collision forced Cowan's vehicle into an SUV driven by Kristine J. Butler, 34, of Saxonburg. Cowan was cited for a stop sign violation.Friday — A thief stole a man's belt from a trailer at the Lake Arthur Estates mobile home park in Muddy Creek Township. The theft happened between Oct. 1 and Friday.Wednesday — A thief swiped 2,500 feet of 2-inch steel well pipe and two steel saw horses, valued at a combined $7,700, from unspecified property in the 100 block of Birckbichler Road in Concord Township. The theft happened between Aug. 2 and Wednesday.2:15 p.m. Oct. 13 — Sara M. Mazur, 33, of Butler was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting $292 worth of merchandise from the Boscov's store in Clearview Mall in Center Township. Mazur was arraigned on charges of retail theft and corruption of minors in the case, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.Oct. 11 — Someone broke into two vehicles at a home on Holyoke Road in Center Township and stole about $11.

8 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Preston M. Bradford, 37, of Grove City struck a deer on Interstate 80 just west of Bethel New Wilmington Road in Shenango Township.Wednesday — Bryan Patrick Thompson, 31, was arrested a day after he allegedly robbed 62-year-old Robert E. Thompson at gunpoint at their home in the 300 block of Cranberry Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.The suspected armed robbery happened about 2 p.m. Tuesday when the defendant stole the older man's debit card and car keys before restraining him in a chair and leaving in the car, police said. The victim eventually managed to free himself and call authorities. A police report did not indicate the relationship between the men.Police nabbed the suspect Wednesday in Grove City. He was arraigned on charges of robbery, theft, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault, reckless endangerment and unauthorized use of a vehicle.A preliminary hearing for Bryan Thompson, who is in the Mercer County Jail on $100,00 bail, is set Oct. 29.4:40 p.m. Thursday — A 39-year-old Greenville man, who police did not identify, is suspected of shoplifting unspecified merchandise from Consumer Direct Sports Supplies on Veterans Road in Springfield Township. Police said the investigation continues.

Wednesday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the All Stars bar on Kelly's Way in East Brady for allegedly selling alcohol on credit and for permitting gambling on the premises. The alleged violations occurred between Sept. 7 and 13. An administrative law judge will hear the case.
