Cordelia Anne Yapp

Cordelia Anne Yapp, 83, of Kittanning passed away Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries Nursing Home, Cabot.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1931, in Slate Lick to the late Virgil and Myrtle Claypool Kilgore.

Cordelia retired from the recovery room at ACMH Hospital.

She attended the Union Baptist Church, Cadogan.

She liked fishing and was a great Pirates and Steelers fan. She loved spending time with her family and was known for her generous and enthusiastic spirit.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving daughter, Colleen L. (James) Peters; her grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Edwards and James A. (fiancee Arianna Jamieson) Peters Jr.; her great-granddaughter, Avery Claire Peters; her sisters, Marie Crawford and Janice Smith; her brothers, William, Harley and Walter Kilgore, and her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward M. Yapp; her brothers, Ralph, Daniel, Donald and George Kilgore, and her sister, Linda Cole.

She was loved and cherished by her family deeply.

Yapp— The family of Cordelia Anne Yapp, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John W.
