Hazel N. Covert Senn

Hazel N. Covert Senn, 93, of Harmony passed away Thursday while in the comfort of her home.

Born on May 23, 1921, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lydia Ifft Covert.

Hazel was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Women's Auxiliary in Harmony, but above all, she will be most remembered as a domestic engineer who cared selflessly for her husband, children, grandchildren and entire family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her four loving children, Walter L. Senn and his wife, Lucy Mae, of Alaska, Chuck M. Senn and his wife, Mary, of New York, Jim R. Senn and his wife, Fay, of Idaho, and Beverly McCall of Harmony; her 16 grandchildren; her 22 great-grandchildren, and her eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter O. Senn, who passed away on Nov. 13, 1998, and her three brothers.

Senn — Services and interment for Hazel N. Covert Senn, who died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, were private today by Hazel's family at the St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery, Zelienople.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hazel's honor in support of Vitas Hospice, 235 Alpha Drive, Suite 101, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Hazel's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
