Robert L. 'Mugsy' Cress

Robert L. “Mugsy” Cress, 78, of Butler passed away at 4:20 a.m. Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

He was born on July 11, 1936, in Butler to the late Dewitt Cress and Eleanor Grossman Cress.

Bob worked at Butler Armco in the Labor Department for 33 years.

He was a Methodist.

Bob enjoyed golfing and bowling. He liked going to the Meadows, Lernerville with his family and watching NASCAR.

Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy D. Cress, who he married on Sept. 11, 1964; his daughter, Cindy Cress and her husband, David McCall, of Butler; his granddaughter, Eleanor Cress; his grandson, Walker McCall; his sister-in-law, Annabelle Meyers Cress of Butler, and his favorite animals, Tess and Lia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Russell, Ralph and Dewitt Cress, and his sister, Mildred Cress.
