8:50 p.m. Sunday — Edward L. Codi, 68, of Butler was arrested on charges he continually bothered his girlfriend after the couple's breakup.Codi is accused of repeatedly calling and leaving voice messages on the woman's cell phone. In at least one of the 21 messages he left over the past several days, he threatened her, according to court documents.He also allegedly parked his vehicle in front of the woman's house. She told police that she was concerned for her safety.Codi was arraigned on charges of stalking and terroristic threats. He is free on nonmonetary bail.

Monday — James A. McCollough, 47, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop at 11:21 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 200 block of Alameda Road. In addition to driving under the influence, McCollough is charged with driving with an inoperable license plate light.Monday — Police cited 22-year-old Andrew Walters of Slippery Rock for criminal mischief after he allegedly vandalized a vehicle Sept. 14 at the Auto Zone on New Castle Road. Walters apparently got angry when the store manager asked him to leave for causing a disturbance.The suspect went outside and was seen keying the manager's vehicle.3:51 p.m. Sunday — A men's Mongoose mountain bike was found on West Metzger Avenue. The owner can claim the bicycle by calling police at 724-285-9600.1:53 a.m. Saturday — Matthew R. Tolley, 26, of Portersville was arrested for driving under the influence after he was found sleeping at the wheel of his vehicle at South Duffy and New Castle roads.Tolley is charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and illegally parking within 30 feet of a traffic light.1:03 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Phyllis Rikal, 75, of Butler and Robert Stark, 85, of Cabot collided at Freeport Road and Dolphin Drive. Rikal was cited for failing to yield the right of way.12:32 p.m. Friday — A teenager was hurt in a one-car crash on North Main Street Extension in front of the Get-Go store. The driver, a 17-year-old girl from Altoona, Blair County, who police did not identify, hit the curb while turning into the store.The car's passenger, another 17-year-old Altoona girl, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The car had to be towed away.Friday — Gilbert A. Schantz, 45, of Butler allegedly conned his employer into giving him a huge pay day.Schantz told his employer, who was not identified in a police report, that he did not receive his paycheck through direct deposit. He was issued a second paycheck. The employer later learned that the suspect had received his first check.He is charged with theft by deception.

2:44 a.m. Saturday — Ian T.J. Smyth, 23, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on East Main Street.Friday — An employee at Trinity Living Center, 400 Hillcrest Ave., reported someone stole gasoline out of a silver sport utility vehicle behind the center. The theft happened between of 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Sept. 14.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Friday — Police in conjunction with the Mercer County DUI Task Force arrested one person for drunken driving during a sobriety checkpoint on Route 208 in the borough.In all, 221 vehicles came through the checkpoint. Along with the DUI arrest, four people were cited for driving with expired registration, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license and driving without valid inspection.Additionally, five written warnings were issued for other traffic violations.Hermitage police and the Mercer County Sheriff's office assisted in the checkpoint.

6:16 p.m. Monday — A 59-year-old Valencia man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Spring Valley Road in Clinton Township.1:43 a.m. Saturday — Tammy S. Moore, 46, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 just south of Mahood Road in Center Township.

4 p.m. Wednesday — Phyllis J. Shakley, 80, of Grove City was hurt when the minivan she was driving collided with a car at Route 208 and George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Shakley, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. She was cited for making an improper left turn.Taylor R. Larson, 21, of New Wilmington was driving the car.

3:03 p.m. Monday — A Beaver County man was hurt when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and crashed in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The SUV traveled off Route 422, struck a tree, rolled over and landed on its roof.The driver, William J. Marshall, 66, of Aliquippa, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.Police suspect the crash happened when Marshall fell asleep at the wheel. He was cited for careless driving.
