Woman admits stabbing ex-boyfriend

SUMMIT TWP — A 20-year-old woman admitted that she enticed an ex-boyfriend to her home on Grohman Road and stabbed him in the neck and stomach early Saturday morning, state police said.

Troopers arrested Jaclyn Kellaway on felony assault and other charges. She is in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.

The suspected attack left 28-year-old Cody Moyer of Butler at a Pittsburgh hospital with serious injuries. His condition was not known this morning.

Police said the stabbing happened about 3:15 a.m. during a reported domestic dispute at Kellaway’s home in Summit Township.

“She was interviewed (at the barracks) and gave a confession,” said police Lt. Eric Hermick this morning. “She said she lured him to her home and stabbed him.”

Kellaway was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.

Moyer suffered a cut to his neck and a perforated intestine and liver. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital for treatment.

Police later that day got a search warrant for Kellaway’s house, where they found the knife used in the suspected stabbing.

The search also turned up nine bags of suspected marijuana, scales, packaging materials and $1,000 in currency.

Hermick said police plan to file additional charges including felony and misdemeanor drug possession against Kellaway.
