Slippery Rock University

Themes of pain, healing and self-discovery are explored in the plot of Slippery Rock University’s presentation of “Scab” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 with a 2 p.m. matinee Oct. 5 in the University Union multipurpose room. Tickets, $7 for students and $12 for the general public, are available at the Smith Student Center information desk.

Regional artists are featured in the 23rd Area Artists Exhibition through Oct. 4 in the Pew Fine Arts Center Gallery. Gallery admission is free and hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays; 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 25 to 27, and until 5 p.m. Oct. 4 for homecoming.
