Historical group sets wiener roast

EAST BRADY, Clarion County — The Bradys Bend Historical Society will have an old-fashioned wiener roast beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday at 101 St. Stephen’s Place, Bradys Bend Township, just off Route 68.

Hot dogs, buns, beverages and ingredients for s’mores will be provided. Take a sweater and a lawn chair.

Library hosts quilt show, auction

EVANS CITY — The Evans City Public Library, 204 S. Jackson St., will have its second annual quilt show, auction and birdhouse display from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

All proceeds will benefit the library.

Church plans aerobics classes

FENELTON — The Fenelton United Methodist Church, Fenelton-Chicora Road, will offer walking aerobics and step-up aerobics at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Classes will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Jefferson school reunion planned

JEFFERSON TWP — There will be a reunion for anyone who attended, taught or was part of the community of the former Jefferson Elementary School, 650 Saxonburg Road, from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 27 at HIS Kids Christian School.

HIS Kids Christian School is housed in the former elementary school.

Safe driving courses offered

Seniors for Safe Driving will host the following classes for those age 55 and older:

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 2, Cranberry Senior Center, Cranberry Township

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8, Concordia, Haven II, Cabot

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 17, Butler Memorial Hospital

5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 22, Kelly Chevrolet, Butler

9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28, Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Seniors completing the course will receive a 5 percent reduction in their automobile insurance premiums for three years.
