5:37 a.m. Saturday — Daniel McCullough, 18, of Donegal Township was arrested after he was stopped for speeding up North Main Street hill in a stolen car.Police said McCullough initially gave officers a bogus name but they later learned his identity.When officers asked him how he got the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu he was driving, he claimed he got it from “a girl he met a while back, but he did not know her name,” according to court documents.Police tracked down the owner, who lives in Butler. She told officers that she did not give anyone permission to drive the car. She found her car key. Her roommate, who also has a key to the same car, however, found her key was missing from her purse.The roommate told officers that she had left her purse in her boyfriend's vehicle after they returned home late that night. That vehicle was parked in back of the owner's home.Police interviewed McCullough a second time. This time, documents said, he admitted getting into the vehicle that was parked in back of the owner's home and finding a key.He said he pushed the key fob and saw the lights flash on the owner's car in front of the home. “He then used the key and stole the vehicle,” a police affidavit said.McCullough was arraigned on a felony count of theft and misdemeanor charges of false identification to police, theft from a vehicle, driving with a suspended license and careless driving. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail following arraignment.

5 p.m. Saturday — Personal property belonging to Cassidy J. Ruby, 30, of Butler was turned in at the police station. Ruby can claim the property at the station, 290 S. Duffy Road.6:15 p.m. Friday — Bryan S. Koziar, 50, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a knife during a domestic dispute at their home on Fairground Hill Road.Koziar is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

2:57 a.m. Sunday — Jesse J. Eaton, 42, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 at the Jefferson Street exit in Summit Township.Sunday — An unknown thief stole two dirt bikes from an 85-year-old man's home on West Sunbury Road in Center Township.The bikes, which include a red and black Honda and a blue and white Yamaha were stolen between 2 and 7 a.m.Wednesday — An unknown vandal spray painted graffiti on the back of the Harrisville United Methodist Church on South Main Street in Harrisville. The vandalism happened last week — either Sept. 9 or Wednesday.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

10:16 p.m. Saturday — A 25-year-old Saxonburg man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Ekastown and Elliott roads in Buffalo Township, Butler County.

Monday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the Serene Valley Golf Course on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township for serving alcohol on June 30 with an expired license. An administrative law judge will hear the case.
