Michael Hootman and Amber Battey

A Nov. 1 wedding is being planned by Amber Marie Battey and Michael Dunn Hootman, both of Arlington, Va.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sue Battey Winchester of Rock Hill, S.C., and David Battey of Brandon, Fla. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Barry and Susan Hootman of Butler.

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Providence High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of South Carolina.

She is the director of the YMCA preschool in Arlington.

Her fiance graduated in 2005 from Shady Side Academy and in 2009 from University of Richmond.

He is an account manager at Aerotek Inc. in Arlington.
