BUTLER TWP — Authorities still are investigating what caused a two-car collision at the corner of Eberhart Road and Route 68 Monday morning that left a 67-year-old Butler woman dead.

Sgt. Nathan Teslik of township police said it has not been determined yet which driver caused the accident.

“We don’t know who’s at fault,” Teslik said.

He said Sylvia Kuhn’s Oldsmobile Intrigue was northbound on Eberhart Road when it was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound Honda Accord driven by Danielle Ziegler, 19, also of Butler.

“She was just running errands,” Teslik said about Kuhn.

The impact pushed Kuhn’s car into the yard at 398 Evans City Road (Route 68).

The accident was reported to Butler County 911 at 6:46 a.m.

Kuhn was pronounced dead at the scene. Her funeral arrangements are not finalized.

Ziegler was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unspecified injuries and released.

North Eberhart Road and the right westbound lane of Route 68 at the intersection were closed until the accident was cleared.
