Joseph and Phyllis Savannah

Joseph A. and Phyllis G. Savannah Sr. of Butler recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Savannah married the former Phyllis Thurston on Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Lyndon, N.J.

They have six children, Joseph Savannah Jr., Lucia (Wayne) Hindman, Anthony (Jennifer) Savannah, Matthew (Mary) Savannah, Tina (Richard) Lourens and Francis (Jessica) Savannah, all of Butler.

They also have 11 grandchildren.

The Savannahs are members of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
