Deputies in the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a female suffering an undetermined medical emergency inside the county courthouse just after 4 p.m. today.

The incident occurred in a juvenile court hearing room in the basement of the building.

The female, who was not identified, was transported by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital. She appeared to be awake and alert, but trembling.

No other information is being released at this time.
