Woman dies in Butler Township crash

BUTLER TWP — A woman was killed this morning in a two-car collision at the intersection of Route 68 and Eberhart Road.
Sgt. Nathan Teslik of the township police department said the woman’s car was northbound on Eberhart when the second car struck the driver’s side of her vehicle.
The impact sent the woman’s car into the lawn of 398 Evans City Road, also known as Route 68.
The other driver was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The drivers’ names were unavailable.
The accident was reported to Butler County 911 at 6:46 a.m.
North Eberhart Road was closed until the accident was cleared. Police are investigating the cause.
Township resident Richard Cox, whose yard sits across North Eberhart Road from where the woman’s car stopped, heard the crash.
“I came running outside,” Cox said. “I knew right away what it was.”
