Donald L. Morrison

Donald L. Morrison of North Fort Myers, Fla., went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Shippenville. He was 82.

Donald was born in Butler on March 29, 1932. He was the son of the late Harry R. Morrison and Cecelia Lassinger Morrison.

A graduate of Butler High School in 1950, he retired as a manager of the U.S. Patent Office in Boyers.

Mr. Morrison was a charter member of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Company, and he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Ida (Smoker) Morrison, who he married on Dec. 29, 1956; six children, Donald L. Morrison Jr. of North Fort Myers, Fla., Dr. Pamela A. Wesoloski (Mark) of Efland, N.C., Charles W. Morrison (Deanna) of Jarrell, Texas, Dr. Patricia L. Green (Will) of Butler, Frank A. Morrison (Linda) of Raleigh, N.C., and Lisa L. Koval (Kevin) of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Morrison of Butler; and two sisters, Phyllis Wahler of Butler and Marjorie Wahler of Richardson Texas.

MORRISON — Friends and family of Donald L. Morrison, who died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
