A Butler Township man was arraigned today on charges that he attacked his live-in girlfriend and duct-taped her arms so she couldn’t leave their home after an argument.

Gary Tichansky, 29, faces charges including aggravated assault and unlawful restraint.

Tichansky has a preliminary hearing Aug. 14 and remains in the Butler County Prison after he could not post $100,000 bail.

Police in Butler Township say the incident happened Monday.

Officers responding to a report of a domestic dispute found the 37-year-old woman in a bedroom with facial injuries. She also told police her fingers hurt because she had been bound so tightly with tape.
