4:02 p.m. Monday — Two women were hurt when a pair of sport utility vehicles collided at Route 8 and Pittsburgh Road. Both drivers, Christie L. Boby, 32, of Cranberry Township and Denise M. Konieczny, 58, of Butler, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.9:32 p.m. Wednesday — The resident of a home on North McKean Street came face to face with an unknown burglar. The intruder, who moments earlier had forced his way into the house, apparently was surprised that someone was home and ran away empty-handed.The burglar is described as being a younger, tan or Hispanic male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans and blue surgical-type gloves.Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 724-287-7743.

Monday — Daniel J. Cunningham, 28, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop at 2:12 a.m. July 10 on Hansen Avenue.In addition to driving under the influence, police cited Cunningham for driving with a suspended license and driving with a burned out headlight.Monday — Police charged Anthony Barton, 43, of Butler with DUI and not using his vehicle's low beams in connection with a traffic stop at 2:34 a.m. July 5 on New Castle Road.3:25 p.m. Sunday — Sherry Petras, 40, of East Brady, Clarion County, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries after a vehicle struck the car she was driving on Route 8 at the Route 422 west exit ramp.Petras suffered minor injuries to her back face and arm. The other driver, John Greenlee, 61, of Sandy Lake, Mercer County, was treated at the scene for minor back injuries.3:20 a.m. Sunday — Nathaniel C. Ledgerwood, 34, of Cassville, Mo., was arrested after he allegedly groped a woman and punched a 27-year-old man from Springdale, Allegheny County, at the Days Inn on Route 8 south.Ledgerwood was arraigned on charges of indecent assault, loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail, following arraignment.5:37 p.m. Saturday — Jessica Blinn, 20, of Butler was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a utility pole along Route 68 at Meridian Road. Blinn was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.4:27 p.m. Saturday — Richard C. Jamison Jr., 39, of Butler was caught allegedly smoking marijuana inside a car in back of the Point Plaza on New Castle Road. Police later searched the suspect and found four pill bottles containing suspected marijuana cigarettes.Jamison is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.5:05 p.m. Friday — A 67-year-old motorcyclist was hurt when he crashed into the back of a vehicle on Route 422 at Independence Lane. George Lake of Tyrone, Blair County, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a leg injury.Police said Lake faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed. Michael Davis, 30, of Prospect was the other driver.

Wednesday — Police charged Joshua D. Bachman, 30, of Butler with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop at 3:34 a.m. May 24 at New Castle and McCandless roads in Butler Township.In addition to driving under the influence, police charged Bachman with disregarding traffic lanes and driving too slow for conditions.
