9 a.m. Tuesday — Volunteer firefighters from two departments were called to a two-vehicle accident in Parker Township. No one was injured and police did not immediately identify either driver.The accident happened when one driver swerved his car to avoid an oncoming vehicle on Route 268 just north of Argyle Street in Petrolia, and struck an embankment, rolling onto its side. The Petrolia and Bruin volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.Tuesday — Police accused two Slippery Rock women of shoplifting $21.50 worth of groceries July 5 at the Sheetz store on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock.Kara A. Kendziorski, 37, and Anna K. Genzoli, 42, are both charged with retail theft and conspiracy. Kendziorski also is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and public drunkenness.6:47 p.m. Monday — Raymond L. Crocker Jr., 52, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a rear-end collision in Center Township.Crocker was traveling north on Route 8 when his pickup truck struck the back of a tractor-trailer just north of McCandless Road in Center Township.Police said Crocker, who was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, fled the scene on foot. He was later found following a search that included a police helicopter.In addition to driving under the influence, according to a police report, Crocker also faces charges for careless driving, following too closely to another vehicle, hit-and-run, failing to stop and give information after an accident and a seat belt violation.Jonel Henry, 44 of Cape Coral, Fla., was driving the rig.Monday — Richard M. Nolan, 23, of Butler is accused of taking advantage of his 75-year-old grandmother's generosity last month.According to court documents, Marcia Ligas recently allowed Nolan, her grandson, to stay at her home on Woodhawk Lane in Franklin Township. Nolan, at that time, had no place to stay following his release from jail in connection with an unrelated case.While living with his grandmother, the defendant allegedly stole her bank debit card and used it June 14 at a grocery store in Franklin Township.He used it three more times June 15 at a bank in Franklin Township. In all, documents said, Nolan withdraw $250.50 from Ligas' bank account with the card. Bank surveillance video showed the suspect using the card.Nolan is charged with identity theft, a felony. He also is charged with misdemeanor counts of theft and access device fraud.4:19 a.m. Sunday — Paul C. Meccariello, 25, of Monroeville, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.

Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a 50-year-old Rimersburg woman's Toyota Tacoma from Commodore Homes in Paint Township. The pickup truck was taken between 6:15 and 7:10 a.m.
