10:30 p.m. Friday — Colleen Cunningham, 33, of Butler was charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia after police found a glass marijuana pipe in her apartment in the 300 block of East Brady Street.Police responded to the apartment for an arrest warrant. Once inside, they noticed the pipe with burnt residue. Cunningham admitted it belonged to her.

8:18 a.m. Thursday — A two-car accident occurred at the intersection of Meridian Road and Evans City Road.Police said a vehicle driven by Mark Stawecki, 25, of Butler failed to stop at a red light and struck a passing vehicle driven by Michael Gibson, 47, of Butler.Gibson had unknown injuries and had to be extricated from his vehicle by Butler Township Fire District 3.Stawecki was cited for a red light violation.6:40 p.m. Wednesday — One man was injured following a two-car accident at the intersection of New Castle Road and North Duffy Road.Police said Mary Dietrich, 52, of Fenelton was speaking on a cell phone as she drove through a red light, hitting a vehicle driven by Charles Foster, 48, of Butler.Foster was extricated from his vehicle by Butler Township Fire District 3 and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Dietrich was cited for careless driving and a red light violation.4:15 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Ronald Hembree III, 22, of Butler rear-ended a vehicle driven by James Stanley, 54, of Renfrew on Route 8 at its intersection with Litman Road. Hembree was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.Police said Hembree failed to slow down for traffic.Hembree reported a headache after the accident but refused medical treatment. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.3:43 p.m. Wednesday — Karlee Weaver, 20, of Butler was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a seat belt violation following a crash on Route 8.Weaver's car hit the back of a vehicle driven by Fred Sheakley, 60, of Butler.Weaver's vehicle was towed from the accident.1:51 a.m. June 28 — Richard Dills, 50, of Butler was charged with DUI following a traffic stop along Route 8. Dills illegally passed a vehicle and used an incorrect lane in a construction zone.

7:10 p.m. Friday — A Pittsburgh man had moderate injuries after an unknown vehicle collided with his motorcycle and sped away.Police said Jeffrey Smith, 52, was driving east in the 100 block of Alwine Road in Jefferson Township when a car pulled out of a driveway and into the path of his motorcycle.The front of Smith's motorcycle struck the left side of the car, described as a small, beige vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet, with a female driver.The car fled toward Saxonburg.Smith, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to UPMC Passavant Hospital by Saxonburg Ambulance.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.

7:33 a.m. Wednesday — A Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Bonnie M. Semler, 47, of Butler struck a tree along the side of Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.Police said Semler drove off the road to avoid traffic. She was cited for following too close.2:15 p.m. July 6 — A two-car accident occurred along Route 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Police said George R. Ripper, 56, of Evans City was driving east in the left lane when his car had a mechanical failure. Ripper's car crossed into the right lane and struck a vehicle driven by James Salsgiver, 37, of Stoystown, Pa.Both vehicles had minor damage. Ripper's vehicle was towed due to the mechanical problems with its front suspension.
