Today — Police reported that Sarah E. Archer, 25, of Center Township faces drugged driving charges stemming from her arrest last month on Hospital Way.A 911 call about 4:10 p.m. June 9 sent police to Butler Memorial Hospital where they found Archer. The caller reported a woman, later identified as the suspect, was passed out at the wheel of a car with the engine running and a syringe stuck in her hand, a police said.Archer was conscious when police got there. She was later given a blood test. Toxicology results showed metabolites of cocaine and heroin in her system.She faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspense license.

Thursday — Police charged Lori Ann Michaels, 42, of Lyndora with two counts of hindering apprehension or prosecution after allegedly trying to thwart the arrest of her boyfriend June 22.Police said Michaels provided officers with a fake name for her boyfriend, who was wanted on two warrants, and also hid him at her home.10 a.m. Wednesday — A homeowner scared off two unknown men after they broke into the house in the 200 block of Teakwood Road. The burglar pried open the rear sliding glass door to get inside.The suspects are described as white, in their 20s and with heavy builds. Nothing was taken.

Thursday — Police reported they charged a teenager, who they did not identify, with stealing $603 from four employees at Grove City Hillview Elementary School and Grove City Middle School. The money was taken between June 10 and July 4,The 17-year-old suspect is charged with theft.Wednesday — A .38-caliber revolver, valued at $320, was stolen from a home in the 400 block of Flower Avenue. The gun was taken between June 25 and Wednesday.Wednesday — A white folding plastic picnic bench, valued at $300, was taken from the front yard of a home in the 100 block of West Poplar Street. The theft happened between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

12:39 a.m. today — Michael D. Snyder, 29, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found passed out at the wheel of his pickup truck in the drive-through at McDonald's restaurant at Franklin Village Mall in East Franklin Township.
