Impeachable offense?

President Barack Obama is one witness away from impeachment for his possible involvement in the IRS scandal.

Article 2, item 1 of the impeachment of Richard M. Nixon was approved July 27, 1974, in a 27-11 vote by the House Judiciary Committee. It stated:

“He has, acting personally and through his subordinates and agents, endeavored to obtain from the Internal Revenue Service, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, confidential information contained in income tax returns for purposes not authorized by law, and to cause, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, income tax audits or other income tax investigation to be initiated or conducted in a discriminatory manner.”

Why was evidence destroyed right after this scandal broke? Not some of the archives of Lois Lerner’s emails, but all of them, along with her computer hard drive. Everyone in the IRS, including Eric Holder of the Justice Department, could be culpable of abetting Obama in violation of his oath of office.

Why are the Democrats vigilantly building a firewall of support around Obama regarding this IRS scandal? Why is the mainstream media running from this scandal? It could be the most incriminating evidence of the president’s lack of effectiveness as commander in chief.

The handwriting already may be on the wall. Obama may be asked to step down before the end of his term.
