10:18 p.m. Saturday — Jahote C. Dorsey Jr., 20, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 27-year-old Ashley M. Spare, during a domestic dispute at their home in the 300 block of East Brady Street.Spare told officers that Dorsey placed his hands around her neck and choked her. She suffered minor injuries.Dorsey was arraigned on charges of simple assault and possession of a small amount of marijuana, and placed in the Butler County Prison.7:52 p.m. Saturday — Timothy P. Butler, 45, of Franklin Township was arrested for driving under the influence after he allegedly struck a sport utility vehicle that was parked on North Seventh Avenue. A caller reported seeing the crash and Butler get out of his car staggering.Butler reportedly went into a neighbor's house. Police went there and found Butler. He appeared to be intoxicated, but refused to submit to a blood test.Police said Butler is charged with driving under the influence, hit-and-run and careless driving.

12:48 a.m. today — Brian R. Rousch, 31, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 68 and Center Drive in Oakland Township.1:10 a.m. Saturday — A 22-year-old Slippery Rock man, who police did not identify, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Route 8 and North Ridge Road in Center Township. Police said the man also was found with unspecified drugs. He faces charges of drugged driving and possession of a controlled substance.12:30 a.m. Saturday — Ryan Brittingham, 24, of Glenshaw, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of drugged driving during a sobriety checkpoint on Route 8 in Center Township. Brittingham faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.11:45 p.m. Friday — Robert M. Codispot, 51, of Butler was seriously hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on North Road in Franklin Township. Codispot, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the cycle.A medical helicopter flew him to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. He was admitted in serious condition.Police said they suspect speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.8:47 p.m. Friday — Tyler Henricks, 20, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Route 356 and Marwood Road in Jefferson Township. Henricks and his passenger, 21-year-old Owen Barkley of Butler, were both found with pill bottles containing suspected marijuana. Both face misdemeanor possession charges.9:25 a.m. Friday — One person was hurt when a car crashed and overturned several times on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. The driver, Ronald D. Bauerle, 54, of Erie, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.Bauerle was cited for careless driving.1:58 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Karac B. O'Brien, 18, of Valencia and Arthur E. Litke, 60, of Glenshaw collided at Route 228 and Tower Road in Clinton Township. O'Brien was cited for a stop sign violation.8:30 a.m. Thursday — A 2014 Ford Escape reported stolen less than 12 hours earlier from a driveway in Concord Township was found on fire on Channel Coal Road between five and six miles from the owner's home.The owner, a 35-year-old West Sunbury woman, told police the vehicle was stolen at 10 p.m. Tuesday from her home in the 400 block of Hooker Road. Witnesses notified police at 8:30 a.m. Thursday that the vehicle was engulfed in flames on Channel Coal Road.Volunteer firefighters put out the blaze. Anyone with information about it is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — A burglar stole an unspecified amount of money from a home in the 600 block of West Sunbury Road in Clay Township. The break-in happened between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

6:30 p.m. Friday — Kenneth A. Zalus, 55, of Sarver was hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a guardrail on Lawsonham Road just south of Traister Road in Madison Township. Zalus, who was wearing a helmet, suffered moderate injuries. He was treated at ACMH Hospital near Kittanning.State Police, Kittanning2:30 a.m. Sunday — Tyler D. Karns, 26, of Ford City was arrested for driving under the influence on River Road in Rayburn Township.7:45 p.m. Thursday — A 45-year-old Ford City man was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he lost control of his pickup truck and collided with a car on Route 268 at the McDonald's Restaurant in East Franklin Township. Carly J. Rice, 23, of Meadville, Crawford County, was driving the car.

State Police, Mercer12:15 a.m. Sunday — Christopher M. Schleh, 30, of New Castle was arrested for drugged driving after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase in and around Pine Township, Mercer County.The chase began when Schleh allegedly drove through a sobriety checkpoint at Irishtown Route and Route 58. The pursuit reached speeds of 100 mph. The chase ended when his vehicle ran over stop sticks that troopers placed over the highway.But Schleh got of his car and ran. Police found him about two hours later at the Grove City Coin Laundry on West Main Street.Schleh was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, simple assault, reckless endangerment and 17 traffic violations.He was placed in the Armstrong County Jail, following arraignment.4:30 p.m. Wednesday — Virginia Zalis, 79, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck she was driving struck a ditch and tree along Route 258 in Springfield Township. Zalis, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. She was cited for a lane violation.June 29 — A thief stole several bottles of prescription medication from the kitchen of a Kimberly Drive home in Liberty Township, Mercer County. The theft happened between March 1 and June 29.
