PINE TWP, Mercer County — State police are investigating the death of an unidentified female whose body was found Wednesday afternoon at a waste disposal site.

Workers at Tri-County Industries discovered the body about 3 p.m. at the company’s facility on TCI Park Drive.

An autopsy, which was planned for today in Erie, could provide investigators with more clues, including how the woman died.

Police said the body is that of a white female believed to be between 16 and 25 years old. She was dressed in black yoga pants, black tank top and white ankle socks with green trim. She also had pierced ears.

No other information was immediately released.
