Coates

Jerry Coates, 48, of Zelienople passed away Friday at the UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born on June 17, 1966, in Butler, he was the son of Donna Schramm and the late Melvin J. Coates.

Jerry was a devoted dad, pa-pa, son and friend. He loved the outdoors and motorcycles. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his faithful four-legged companions, Owen the dog and Bubba the cat. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Wright and her husband, Marc, of Freedom and Nicole Hamilton and her husband, Greg, of Zelienople; his sister, Dawn Polito of Evans City; and his three grandchildren, Aiden, Markus and Rainy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Chris Cleaver.

Coates — Jerry's family will welcome friends of Jerry Coates, who passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, from 2 to 4 and from 6 until the time of a funeral ceremony at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti officiating.
