Dolores 'Dolly' A. Solla

Dolores “Dolly” A. Solla, 82, of Freeport passed away peacefully Thursday at Platinum Ridge, Brackenridge.

Dolly was born in Natrona on March 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Regina (Dymkoski) and Anthony Olszewski.

She was a member of the St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Freeport.

Dolly loved traveling by train and taking trips to Las Vegas. She was an avid Steelers and Pitt Football fan, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting and musical events.

She is survived by her son, Daniel (Janice) Solla of Ambler; her daughter Sharon A. (Bruce) Sherrieb of Freeport, and her son, Timothy M. (Laura) Solla of Freeport. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Shannon, Brandon and Brady Sherrieb, Shelby Solla, and Steven (April) and Michelle Solla, and her great-grandson, Nicolas Solla.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Frank” A. Solla, who passed away in 2010.

Solla — The family and friends of Dolores “Dolly” A. Solla, who passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.A parting prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Freeport, with the Rev. Edward Volz officiating.
