Route 228 paving work affects traffic
ADAMS TWP — Road work is under way on a section of Route 228 just west of its intersection with Pittsburgh Street and Warrendale Road.
State Department of Transportation crews will mill and pave the road through the intersection with Mars Valencia Road to about half-mile west of Brickyard Road.
Work will be done between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and is expected to be completed Friday.
Traffic impacts will include lane shifts and single-lane flagger-controlled patterns. Traffic patterns will return to normal configurations during the day.
Other planned work includes finish paving, line painting, and signal work which will occur over the next few weeks.

Genealogy class offered at library
EVANS CITY — The Evans City Public Library will offer a free genealogy class from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the library, 204 S. Jackson St.
Take family tree information and discover what to keep, how to organize and where to find more information. Young adults and adults are welcome and no experience is necessary. Wireless Internet will be available. Take a laptop or tablet if desired.
Questions will be answered until 7:30 p.m.
