Elsie H. Young

Elsie H. Young, 67, of Butler passed away Monday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 18, 1946, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Roy Miller and Helen (McJunckin) Miller.

Caring, a hard worker, honest, loving and sacrifice describe Elsie Helen Young. From her days as a LPN caring for children in Medina hospital to a nursing home in Mars caring for elderly, she always cared for people with love and respect.

She later learned to weld and “pulled her weight” doing a man's job at Pullman Standard. It was there that she met her husband, Rich, who couldn't believe this beautiful woman was a welder, too.

She loved and respected her parents who taught her honesty, hard work, family and faith. She was our support, strength and encouragement. She gave of herself always to help others, without expecting anything in return. It is by her examples we all should live.

Bless you in heaven as we have been blessed by you here on Earth. You are always in our hearts and on our minds. We love you.

She is survived by her husband, Richard F. Young, who she married on Jan. 19, 1980; her two sons, Brian W. (Yolanda) Rivers and Mark A. (Debbie) Cygan of Lakeland, Fla.; her daughter, Richelle L. (Jason) Albert of Butler; her six grandchildren, Luke, Bryre, Selena, Camden, Avery and Abrielle; her two brothers, Robert Miller and Ron (Marsha) Miller of Butler; and her sister, Nancy (Dave) Daniels of Butler.

Young — At her request, there will not be a visitation for Elsie H. Young, who passed away Monday, June 9, 2014.
