Four people were reportedly injured in a three-vehicle collision this afternoon on a stretch of Route 228 known as “Ball's Bend.”
The accident about 1:30 p.m. involved an eastbound SUV and two westbound passenger cars, according to authorities on the scene.
One of the injured persons was flown to a hospital by medical helicopter.
The accident closed a portion of the road in both directions.
