Walter Drake, 91, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away Thursday.
He was born on May 31, 1922, in the South Side of Pittsburgh, a son of the late Nick and Anna (Heczko) Dukevik.
He was the loving husband of the late Martha J. (Haffner) Drake; the beloved father of Ned (Peggy) Drake of Punxsutawney; grandfather of Bryan (Vicki) Drake of Easton, and Mark (Carla) Drake of Charleston, S.C., and great-grandfather of Emily Drake of Easton.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, John and Stanley, and his sister, Rose.
Walter was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
Drake — The friends of Walter Drake, who passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township.
