BUTLER TWP — Another South Butler School District administrator will be moving to a Butler job in July.
The Butler School Board on Monday night approved hiring Debbie Brandstetter as business manager. Her five-year contract starting at $93,000 per year will begin July 1.
She currently is the director of business affairs at South Butler.
“I think she’ll do a great job,” said Cathy Rodgers, outgoing business manager who will retire this summer after a decade of service.
The school board also approved for Rodgers to work at a per diem rate after her June 30 retirement date for up to 20 days.
“I’m looking forward to that because coming to a new school, learning about the district ... It will be very helpful to her,” Rodgers said.
Last month, the board hired South Butler Superintendent Dale Lumley to take over as Butler superintendent in July. He has been voluntarily working for Butler in the process of hiring the assistant superintendent and business manager positions.
Lumley is replacing Mike Strutt, who retires June 30.
