GIBSONIA — One person died Saturday morning in a fire in Richland Township.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said one person is dead following a house fire in the North Hills suburbs.

But investigators say the cause of the person’s death and the person’s identity may not be released until Monday as the probe continues.

Emergency dispatchers say fire crews were sent to the home about 3 a.m. Saturday.

It was not immediately clear how the fire began, nor whether anybody else was in the home at the time.
