Darek Horton and Sarah Monks

A June 27 wedding is being planned by Sarah Emalee Monks of Butler and Darek Paul Horton of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rhonda L. and Gary L. Monks of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Heather and Paul Horton of Chicora.

The future bride is a 2010 graduate of Butler High School. She is studying at Clarion University.

She is employed by Giant Eagle in Moraine Pointe Plaza, Butler.

Her fiancé graduated in 2012 from Karns City High School.

He is a client systems technician in the U.S. Air Force. He is stationed at Scott Air Force Base.
