Right choice

Hurrah for Mars Area School Board, which said no to Big Business and the gas companies.
These companies are making sell-outs out of everyone who is willing to sacrifice their children’s future for a few dollars in the present. We are all being trained to accept the fact that we have to drink bottled water so there will be no problem when our ground water is not safe to drink.
I admit that I, too, took the money when I was told by the gas company representative that they were drilling horizontally, so if I did not sign they would just take my gas anyway.
How many people have access to natural gas to heat their home? Many in this area do not. You have to use fuel oil or propane, both of which are extremely expensive. Yet the gas companies plan on exporting gas to foreign countries. This should not be done until we have this available to us.
I see nothing on the news or in the local papers about the gas wells that were shut down near Poland, Ohio, due to earthquakes possibly connected to the drilling.
Ignorance is bliss.
